Jamaican black castor oil
Jamaican black castor oil, often shortened to JBCO, is made from roasted castor beans and has a dark color and smoky scent. It is widely marketed for hair growth, edges, and scalp care, but evidence that topical castor oil increases growth is lacking. The practical differences from pale cold-pressed oil are processing, aroma, color, texture, and price.
